Techaisle routinely conducts depth interviews with actual SMB and Midmarket customers using technology to understand their business issues, challenges and lessons learned. For the first time, Techaisle is opting to publish select interviews under its SMB Spotlight Series reports.
Depth interviews were conducted with specific respondents who were responsible for NetSuite implementation and continue to be involved in its management were identified for interviews in each SMB organization using either SoftLayer or Azure or AWS.
Each interview was approximately 1.5 hours long with continued Q&A and clarifications post interviews. At a minimum each interview captured the following elements:
Types of respondents within the SMBs included:
- 9 years of experience in managing Enterprise Software Solutions in Telecom, Healthcare, Finance & Accounting, Oil & Gas product & service software domains. Leading suitability analysis of applications for cloud deployments and working as a program manager for end-to-end managing and migration from scoping to decommissioning of legacy infrastructure
- 9 years of experience in software development testing in development, manual testing and automaton testing including skills in WPF, C#, Windows Azure Mobile Services, XML and SQL Server. Management of cloud deployment for the organization.
- Over 9 years of experience in software development focused on Microsoft Technologies, Windows Azure, ASP .NET. Expertise with Microsoft Azure - Web/Worker/Cache role, Storage (Blobs, Table, Queues), Service Bus Queue, Cloud Service, Virtual Machine, and Virtual Network
- 10 Years of total work experience in Business Objects and Informatica. Worked on end to end implementation projects, support projects and also provided trainings to clients on BO software. Implemented Amazon Web Services (AWS): Auto Scaling, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Elastic Block Store (EBS), Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Amazon Virtual Private Network (VPN), provisioning storage as drives using Amazon Storage Gateway
- Microsoft Solutions Certified IT Professional working on Office 365 and Windows Azure solutions, Active Directory Forests, Active Directory Federation Services, Security Permissions & Authentication and Certificates. Management of transition to cloud including requirement gathering and designing infrastructure/Server for Directory Synchronization, deploying Office 365 licenses via GUI and PowerShell scripts
